We understand how important it is to keep a routine and so we try to keep our training sessions as consistent as possible. Occasionally we will need to change the timing and/or location of a training session in response to weather, availability of our coaches or availability of venue.

Members who have a Tri Health and Fitness membership are also able to participate in any of the sessions run by Boroondara Leisure. Click on one of the centers listed below to see what other sessions are available



New to Triathlon

Whether it’s a new sport to try, a way to improve your fitness or a tick off the bucket list, our Try-a- Tri Program is the perfect way to learn everything about swim bike and run in a fun and supportive environment culminating in participation at one of the 2XU Triathlon Series ‘Sprint’ or ‘Fun Tri’ distance events in Melbourne.

Our program offers

  • Six weeks of coached, group training sessions local to Hawthorn
  • Technique and fitness training on all three disciplines
  • Race transition practice and set up
  • Educational content including tips, tricks and training advice
  • Support on Race Day

We anticipate hosting our next program in September 2021

Women in Tri

Hawthorn Triathlon Club prides itself on providing a friendly, supportive and inclusive environment to all members. Recognising that there can be actual and perceived barriers to participation, the Women in HTC
Working Group has been developed to:

  • Develop and implement initiatives to increase the engagement and
    retention of female participants, committee members and coaches in HTC
  • Work with Triathlon Victoria Women in Triathlon Working Group
    to implement actions of the Triathlon Victoria Gender Equity Report 2019
  • Represent HTC by attending Triathlon Victoria events and seminars
  • Set a positive example to others in supporting a positive and inclusive
    club culture

Since its inception in late 2020, the group has already had success in implementing additional informal training session times that meet the needs of caregivers and those working flexibly, and have hosted a number of social and educational opportunities for members of the Club.
